Hint: Freezing Butter Wrappers

I’m sure you’re wondering about the photos – a stick of butter and the inside of my freezer??!!  Yes, today’s post is not a recipe, but a helpful hint.  I’m not sure where I first saw this idea, but I love it. Over the holidays I do alot of baking. Instead of throwing out all those butter wrappers, I store them in a quart size zipper bag in the freezer. Then, when a recipe calls for buttering a dish, I pull out the frozen butter wrappers and rub the butter coated side onto the dish.  The butter softens immediately from the warm of your hand. …. and I love that I don’t have to use part of a new stick of butter.
