Did you know that Super Bowl Sunday is the 2nd biggest eating day, after Thanksgiving? Instead of one big meal , I guess we just nosh ourselves silly. Between the pregame, the actual game, the halftime show and the commercials, it’s a 6 hour affair – no wonder we eat alot!
So, what’s on your Super Bowl menu? I attend a party where chili is the main
attraction and guests bring appetizers, desserts or beverages. Here are my favorite chili recipes. Look for appetizer ideas tomorrow.
Whether you like it mild, medium or spicy, I have three great chili recipes.
The Turkey chili is a great mild chili – and I offer jalapenos on the side for those who like to kick it up a notch.
The White Chicken chili is a change from a tomato based chili and offers a little more kick.
Surprisingly, the Black Bean and Mushroom Chili packs the biggest wallop – the mushrooms are so ‘meaty’ you won’t miss the meat!
Offer jalapenos, cheese, sour cream and salsa on the side and you’ve got yourself a Chili Bar. Oh…..try this Cornbread Biscotti for dipping!
