Can you believe it’s already Memorial Day?! Me neither!! What are you serving? You know, you can’t get much more American than hot dogs! Here’s my favorite anytime hot dog snack that’s perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner – Mini Pigs-in-a-Blanket. I also think they makes a great bite size meal for the kids at a cook-out, when handling a real hot dog is a little too much. Why not try them this weekend?!
I use refrigerated croissant rolls and little cocktail weiners from the grocery store. What could be easier?! Just unroll the croissant dough and slice each section into thirds from the shortest side to the point. Each package will make 24 piggies (piglets??)
Roll the little smokies in the triangle from the long side to the point.
Place point side down on a baking sheet or sheet pan. Bake for 12-15 minutes at 375 degrees F.
Serve with mustard on the side – I always like good ole ‘little boy’ mustard.
